Per New York State law, all students must provide documentation of their MMR (measles,
mumps and rubella) immunity and meet the meningitis information requirement.
Students who do not meet these requirements within 30 days of the start of their semester
will be unenrolled from their classes for non-compliance. The following immunizations
are required prior to move-in day. Please refer to the Step-by-Step Instructions for Uploading Immunization Information into the portal in order to meet each requirement.
Immunizations
MMR Vaccine (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – two doses given after your first birthday.
These are both usually given by age five. This can also be met by proof of two measles
immunizations:
one mumps immunization and one rubella immunization Or
Proof of immunity by blood titer tests (done at any time) for Measles, Mumps and Rubella.
NYS requires all college students, regardless of age, to review information about
Meningococcal and then make an informed decision- either show proof of:
To decline the Meningococcal immunization, visit the MCC's myWellness Portal:
Go to the Medical Clearances tab
Scroll to the bottom of the page
Click clearance exemptions and select Meningococcal ACWY or B
Complete the waiver and upload document into the portal Please note:Declining this vaccine ensures compliance with NYS Public Health Law but does not
stop you from getting the vaccine at a later date. Students may elect to receive the
vaccine at any time in the future through their healthcare provider, the Monroe County
Department of Health Immunization clinic or at a local pharmacy.
To submit proof of the Meningococcal vaccine, login to the portal and upload one of
the following:
Meningiococcal ACWY vaccine within the last five (5) years (may appear on your records
as Menactra, Menveo or MenQuadfi) Or
Meningococcal B, two dose series at any time (may appear on your records as Bexsero
or Trumenba).
Please look carefully at your vaccination record.The most common reason students remain in "non-compliance" after submitting records
is because their Meningococcal ACWY vaccine is over five years old or they only have
had one Meningococcal B vaccine

Proof of Health Insurance
All students living on campus are required to submit proof of current health insurance
in the myWellness Portal.
