Transfer Planning Steps

Transferring can feel like a lot of work. We break down the transfer planning process into four simple steps, and if you need any help along the way, we’re here to support you.

Transfer Counseling

Meet one-on-one with a transfer counselor to discuss how to plan and prepare for transferring. Meet in person or virtually with a transfer counselor to explore colleges and universities that offer your major, the application process, and additional resources to help you transfer smoothly. It is never too early to start planning!

As part of the State University of New York (SUNY), MCC offers high-quality credits that are recognized throughout New York State and across the nation. We maintain strong relationships with SUNY, private, and highly selective four-year colleges and universities, including SUNY Brockport, SUNY University at Buffalo, SUNY Geneseo, St. John Fisher University, Nazareth University, Roberts Wesleyan University, Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Rochester, and Cornell University.
