The Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities is committed to safeguarding the diverse learning environment of Monroe Community College by upholding its standards for student conduct. Our office works diligently to ensure that our conduct standards and expectations are clear to students by providing students with information about their rights, responsibilities, and the behavioral standards expected of them at MCC.
We promote emotional and mental growth by helping students develop moral and social skills, make ethical decisions, accept accountability, and use the relationship between actions and consequences as learning opportunities to build integrity. We aim to have our conduct process be consistent, equitable, and educational. Our philosophy is centered on student learning and development, while acknowledging the importance of balancing the interests of individual students, the community at large, and the integrity and values of Monroe Community College.
Throughout the College’s student conduct process, due process protections are provided, as required by law.
