The Educational Opportunity Program is here to support students with guidance navigating
the challenges of college academics and the college campus environment. The focus
is on advocating for students who have the potential to succeed despite adverse struggles
that may have impacted their academic growth.
Services Include:
- Provide a Pre-Freshman bridge program for incoming, first time students promoting
academic/career exploration with social & community engagement while adapting to the
college experience (first-time students, up to 4 weeks)
- Continuous engagement with assigned EOP Counselor
- Financial advisement
- Study skills/orientation classes
- Academic Excellence Seminar - Warning and Restriction Program
- Support in completing federal and state financial aid forms
- Assistance with transfer to similar opportunity programs such as HEOP, SEEK, and College
Discovery within New York State
- Align students with essential resources relevant to their personal and academic goals
- Offer structured support and enrichment programs throughout students' enrollment
