PRISM Multicultural Center
The PRISM Multicultural Center, founded in 2016, develops and facilitates programs
and services that are designed to support and retain students from all ethnic and
culturally diverse backgrounds. It is a space to engage students in activities, dialogue
and resources that nurtures cross-cultural interaction and communication that fosters
the exchange of diverse ideas and perspectives. We are committed to recognizing the
dignity and worth of every individual by providing a warm, welcoming and supportive
environment for students, faculty and staff.
Our Focus
We pride ourselves on bringing richness and awareness to the student body by promoting
diversity and inclusion for everyone. We can help by:
- Facilitating workshops and presentations
- Presenting films on a variety of diverse topics
- Leading discussions and debates on real-world issues
- Planning events
- Celebrating with festivals, parties, and luncheons

Want to Book Space in the PRISM Center?
If you're interested in reserving space in the PRISM Multicultural Center, please
review the PRISM Guidelines first. Most requests are reviewed and responded to within 48 business hours.
PRISM Guidelines
- All requests for usage of the center must be submitted at least two weeks in advance.
- All requests are handled on a first come first served basis.
- Student organizations requesting to use the center after hours or on weekends must
be accompanied at all times by the group’s advisor.
- All groups or individuals are responsible for their own materials. The center does
not make copies or supply materials, flyers or signage.
- Any programs, lectures, talks, displays, etc.; must be approved in advance and must
be relatedto the stated purpose of the center.
- Computers, phones, copier and projector are off limits, unless prior approval has
been granted.
- Only those items, furniture, etc. specifically approved on the application are to
be used.
- Groups scheduling events, which will end after the official closing time of the PRISM
Multicultural Center must make sure that room is clean, in order, doors are locked,
and lights turned off before leaving. The key to the center should be placed in the
blue key lock-box outside of the center.
