Monroe Community College’s Theatre Arts A.S. program encourages you to explore your passion, whether it’s theatre performance or technical theatre. No matter which you choose as your concentration, you'll learn from working professionals and take part in multiple productions each year. By the end of the program, you’ll be prepared to transfer to a four-year institution to continue your theatre studies.

Whether you choose theatre performance or technical theatre, MCC helps you master the essentials. Learn the craft from working professionals and build skills you can take anywhere. In our program, you will:

MCC’s Theatre Arts A.S. offers hands-on training in acting, tech, and production. Choose your concentration and transfer smoothly to a bachelor’s program.

A.S.

Associate of Science

In the Theatre Arts program, you’ll build core theatre skills acting, stage movement, costuming, theatre logistics, and more. From there, you’ll deepen your training through courses in your chosen concentration. Be on stage or operate behind the scenes. Along the way, you’ll gain hands-on experience through MCC productions, preparing you to transfer smoothly into a four-year theatre major.
