In MCC's Accounting Technician program, you'll learn:

Financial recordkeeping and accounting software skills— How to record daily business transactions, keep accurate financial files and use spreadsheets, databases, and other common accounting tools.
Payroll and Financial Statement basics — How to calculate employee pay, taxes, and deductions and how to prepare simple balance sheets, income statements, and cash‑flow reports.
Accounts payable and receivable — How to manage bills, invoices, and customer payments.
Business math — How to use practical math skills in banking, budgeting, and accounting.
Business law fundamentals — You’ll have an opportunity to familiarize yourself with key laws and rules that affect businesses and financial records.
Professional communication and problem-solving skills — How to write clear emails, reports, and messages used in office settings. How to spot errors, fix issues, and keep financial information accurate.
