Monroe Community College’s Liberal Arts A.S. in Biology gives you the knowledge, lab skills, and hands-on experience you need to succeed at top four-year colleges—and in a future science career. Whether you choose the Biology Track or the Human Health and Biomedical Sciences Track, you’ll experience a dynamic mix of classroom learning, laboratory work, and fieldwork. You’ll study alongside expert faculty who guide you in conducting research and building real-world scientific skills. At the end of this program, you’ll be ready to seamlessly transfer to a bachelor’s degree program in biology or a related field.

MCC's Biology program offers two track options: Biology Track and Human Health and Biomedical Sciences Track. No matter which track you choose, you'll build a foundation in biology as you learn:

We maintain a diverse collection of plants in our greenhouse, which are used in several of our courses.

Our Biology program offers two track options, allowing you to focus on a specific area of biology while preparing you to transfer to a four-year program.

A.S.

Associate of Science

The BiologyTrack offers a broad-based biology education, so you can explore a variety of biological science disciplines before pursuing a more specific field.
The Human Health and Biomedical Sciences Track provides a human-focused biology education, appropriate if you’re planning to pursue a rigorous pre-clinical field.
